Tips to Prevent Anemia

• Eat a Healthy Diet that Includes Good Sources of Iron.

• Include vitamin C rich foods and drinks in your diet to increase the absorption of iron

• Never eat calcium rich foods along with iron rich ones as calcium interferes with the absorption of iron

• Eat non heme iron sources along with heme iron or animal based iron sources to increase its absorption rate.

• Take iron and folic acid supplements (prescribed by physician) if your diet is lacking in iron content.

• Take our irin supplements with fresh fruit juices (orange, sweet lime, pomegranates, pineapple etc)

• Do Not Attempt to Self-Medicate.

• Reduce stress

• Remove Processed and Junk Foods from your Diet.

• Use Probiotics for a Healthy Gut.

• Avoid drinking tea or coffee with your mealsas these contain tannins and poyphenols which can affect iron absorption.

• Get enough vitamin B12 and folic acid in your diet.

• Cook your food in cast iron skillet, pots and pans to increase the amount of iron in your food.
