It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.

You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.

Do not be afraid — I am with you!     I am your God — let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you;     I will protect you and save you.

I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue,    

When Daniel learnt that the order had been signed, he went home. In an upstairs room of his house there were windows that faced towards Jerusalem. There, just as he had always done, he knelt down at the open windows and prayed to God three times a day.

Our enemies have no reason to gloat over us. We have fallen, but we will rise again. We are in darkness now, but the Lord will give us light.

“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.

“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.

There they offered Jesus wine mixed with a bitter substance; but after tasting it, he would not drink it.
